Lake Kariba in Zimbabwe is widely renowned for its giant hippo bulls. The goal of Hunters In Action Channel is to record the bringing down of a giant old bull on a rarely seen, exciting hunt. The irritable hippos become easily aggressive, so approaching them unnoticed is a hard task since the vigilant animals hide in the dense aquatic vegetation or around the richly overgrown islands with ease. The hunters have to spot the pod of hippos first, slowly moving with the boat, and then approach them within shooting distance on the closest island stalking with good wind. The guide chooses the right bull. The hunter has to hit exactly the area between the eye and the ear. However the bull only sticks his head out for a short breath. The patience of the hunters finally pays off as it turns out that they managed to bring down the biggest hippo bull of the season with an accurate shot fired at the right moment.
